With a quick and relatively cheap optical scan using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), the extent to which brain damage due to Multiple Sclerosis (MS) can be measured accurately. MS is an autoimmune disease where our own cells attack and damage certain areas, in this case it is a fatty protein called myelin that insulates and helps send signals in nerves corresponding to motor control of speech among other things.
